Exactly that was it. I remember some gaming magazine ad from my childhood where they had a gameboy micro promotion w/ pokemon emerald and I wanted it. This thread brought the memory to my mind.

I too bought this device because I saw GameBoy ads in magazines when I was a kid but never had one. This one only costs like 40 EUR on Aliexpres so I had to get one.
So far I played Metroid: Zero Mission and is excellent. Right now Im trying to find the best way to run Doom on it (PS1 vs Portmaster).
