Baseband, firmware, carriers, sensors, and in-app tracking like ads, analytics, SDKs, and push all leak data. GrapheneOS is the flagship myth. It is sponsored by Mullvad, a for-profit VPN, and funded by tech billionaires like Jack Dorsey. It polishes the surface but ultimately helps normalize smartphones instead of rejecting them. A privacy-friendly smartphone is technically impossible.
