I think the biggest unexplored potential of AI is reverse engineering. Imagine dumping the firmware for any device, putting it through an agent system and letting it run for 16 hours and coming back to a clean and documented version of the disassembled code. Then being able to modify that with one prompt. No more vendor lock-in for anything. Ads on your TV? Just remove them.
Alright, it's probably not so easy, but let me be optimistic about technology for once.

its def not that easy, but the idea that a neural network could be used to reverse engineer a system sounds plausible, and "ai" is already helping with open source development so we dont have to rely on proprietary anti-consumer bullshit to begin with.
