I have never owned an Apple device because since childhood I've been coping that Android phones are better for their price and only validation seeking normies would pay for iPhones or MacBooks but now I've matured and I realize society is all about appearances and fitting in if you want success, so seeking validation is actually based as long as you're doing it effortlessly in a nonchalant fashion. In order to looksmaxx and fit into society better I've been interested in buying my first iPhone almost solely for their sleek looks and aura boost. My only concern is that Apple will actually force me to upgrade more often after old phones no longer get updates. Usually I've used a phone for about 6 years before getting a new one. For iPhone owners here, how often do you need to buy a new one? Is it worth the money? New Android phones are almost as expensive as iPhones these days anyway.

iPhones typically get major updates for 6-8 years + security updates for quite a while, so you should be fine on that front. They're built well, battery is good and the cameras are good so its they're worth the money. If you've been using gestures on android, iOS will will feel the same. otherwise you might get pissed at the navigation for a bit.

when was the last time you actually sideloaded something. I was in the same boat until switching to iOS and never ran into this issue ever since.

All phones look the same. It's a glass rectangle with some colorful icons to press. How exactly are you presenting it to others? Nobody notices what other people use. If you left your home today you've passed dozens if not hundreds of people. How many of them used Android? Did you see someone using an iPhone? Which generation was it? Was it the cheaper model or the pimped out best possible model?

You can't answer any of these since phones literally don't matter enough. If you want an iPhone go buy an iPhone, don't seek validation from others since nobody is going to notice it anyway.

Do you want Apple tracking your every move or do you want Google tracking your every move?
Are you a power user who wants more control over your device or are you a normie that just want to browse social media and shop on Amazon?

So, the question is "which is better" because, in this day and age, they're both powerful (depend on the device) and both can do what you need. The question is who do want spying on you more?

Mine looks closer to the iPhone's camera bump since they aren't all identical. Also you can only see it if it's face down and it's even less obvious if the person is using a protective case. Nobody can tell what another person owns unless they are severely autistic. This is the undeniable fact.

From a glance I wouldn't be able to tell whether someone's handset is an iPhone or an Android: they both have a screen, cameras on the back, and typically a phone case that prevents any brand recognition.

I have a work-provided iPhone and macbook pro. Respectively the worst devices I've ever used. First off, the OS sucks donkey balls. Total nagware, constant "install this" "update that" "login here or else!" "nuh-uh login yet again" bullshit. Took 2 weeks to even activate the iPhone because it kept going into loops demanding an icloud account to allow me the privilege of booting up, but setting it up with the company email, though accepted, wouldn't work, and there was some unsolvable loop because an sms couldn't be received because of some issue activating the sim card.
In winter, it automatically shuts down whenever I go outside because it's "too cold". Only ever happens with crapple phones, nothing else has ever had this problem. It's apparently a well documented issue. It's not well built and the hardware for the price is dogshit. But the main issue is that the hardware is unbalanced. Battery life is OK (not phenomenal, just OK), screen is pretty sucky, camera is dogshit, cpu and ram are quite decent though.
It's kinda the same with the macbook pro as well, in which case it as a good screen (even though color reproduction is total ass, worst in class bullshit), lots of ram, and it's amazing what the CPU can do when the coprocessors are well-used, but the shell dents very easily, the label buttons and paint on the shell come off within a month of use (I have the black one), magsafe is the worst "technology" known to man, the fact you have to force it to charge to max is insane (and has nothing to do with battery health, OS-level placebo is hilarious), and so on.
It's also quite buggy in the interface, for example if you move a window and enter expose it will have buggy windows crashing around. There are generally no productivity shortcuts (e.g. no home/end/ctrl+left/right kind of actions you can use to quickly navigate pages and text), the base apps are super awful amateurware that even the most diehard macfag immediately replace with something FOSS
