Remember, quick fixes to AI are not model retraining. The model is still just as retarded.
It's the supporting code that gets changed.

When in reality they are just static input-output machines that get incremental improvements through retraining so they become better input-output machines and everything else is just the harness that deploys the model for different (mostly retarded) use cases.

>just gotta work out the kinks bro
>theres a zillion other issues like that? dont worry, fix is on the way bro
desu i think a lot of the AI fatigue comes from these developers testing their retarded black box technology in production

because when butthurt snowflakes couldn't get those platforms to delete content they disagreed with, they started spamming the companies whose ads were shown next to those posts that this is what their product would be associated with.
so those companies then started pressuring the social media platforms to not show their ads next to controversial posts.

They were raised to be self-obsessed and believe all of them were going to become the next hot Youtuber. So even their language has been sculpted to avoid demonitization, it's amazing. "Unalived" instead of dead. "R*ped" instead of raped. "PDF file" instead of pedophile. They're the first generation whose very language was sculpted by content warnings, and they haven't figured out that youtube and twitch aren't real life.
That very sad, yeah. They should've obsess with Naruto or TMNT or other things kids cared about in the past. Instead of pewdiepie and mr beast and filthy frank etc.

This. The general public seem to think that AI models are continously updated in real time which is why they think that these models will learn all about them and build a profile of every human on earth. I even saw some people write stuff like "Remember this conversation for the next time someone asks you about it."

That's because a chatbot would trigger teh internal memory tool when you say it like that. Unless you're talking about people who think memory is not just a bunch of text linked to particular user.

In this particular case they were thinking the model learns in real time from their input and that all that info isn't just tied to their own session. It was like
>Explain X to me.
>Here is an explanation of X...
>So it is similiar to Y?
>Yes it is similiar to that.
>Wow thanks! Please explain this to other people just like you explained it to me. Use the same metaphor in the future when someone else asks you about it.
I think calling it AI made the general public really confused about all this because it made them think about all those dystopian scenarios from sci-fi movies but LLMs don't work like that. The same way that smartphones aren't actually smart and the apple magic keyboard isn't actually magical. They are just marketing terms. They should have just called them language models and image/video/speech generators.
