The idea is to make European products more competitive and to make Chinese companies ship from EU warehouses (so taxes are paid).

I used to be mildly eurosceptic, but I think EU is finally waking up. There's renewed focus on tech and supply chain independence, of competitiveness of EU companies, etc.

I just wish they stopped this age verification and other BS. Why can't we just give kids phones that tell websites "hey I'm a kid's phone"?

Only an idiot would think that way, tax system was there for packages over 150€. No one will move their business for small electronic parts like controllers, caps, mosfets etc...
The taxes are only for por private person, it doesn't exist for dropshippers nor for those companies who buys from china and resells everything overpriced in Europe
