Up until now, I’ve preferred 4chan over Reddit because it felt "more open." And yes, 4chan isn't as uniform or regimented as Reddit. But when you compare 4chan to CHAOS SCROLLING, it quickly becomes apparent that 4chan is also a total hivemind. I’ve come to understand what 4chan or specifically /g/ really is: it’s just another hivemind that allows for a bit more deviation, a bit more noise. But it doesn't compare to the freedom of chaos scrolling.
