Do you know what really killed online forums and boards? It's not the big platforms, not Reddit, X or Discord. It's AI. Because every small board just doesn't feel real anymore since AI came along. And it will never feel real again because we can never know who's a bot and who isn't. Slow, small boards aren't a problem in themselves, as long as you know all the users are real people.
